The same house needs different screens in different suburbs
Sydney is not one climate or one risk profile, and specifying screens as though it is costs people money.
- Coastal suburbs: salt is the enemy. Colour, coating and a wash-down schedule matter more than they do inland.
- Bushfire-prone fringes: your BAL rating dictates the approved configuration, and your certifier will want the paperwork.
- Western Sydney: west-facing glass is the real problem. Screens that cut 53% of solar heat gain earn their keep.
- Heritage conservation areas: frame profile and colour need thought before anything is ordered.
- Apartments and strata: expect a scope-of-works conversation with the owners corporation first. We can help draft it.
